Jake Gyllenhaal: Word of War Benefit Hunk
Lending his time for a good cause, Jake Gyllenhaal was on hand for the Words of War Benefit on Wednesday (May 8) in New York City.
The “End of Watch” actor sported a grey suit as he read a poem about war at the event, which was put on by the Headstrong Project.
During the night’s poetry readings, iconic images of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan were projected on to the screen to draw attention to the trials of combat.
The goal of the Headstrong Project and the benefit is to help veterans recover from the hidden wounds of war in order to lead full and meaningful lives.
