Tom Cruise Scores “Mission: Impossible 5” Gig
He’s had an uber-successful run with the “Mission: Impossible” franchise, and Tom Cruise has just signed on to star in the fifth installment.
The “Minority Report” hunk will reprise his role as Ethan Hunt in front of the camera, and will also serve as a producer behind the scenes.
As for the director, Paramount Pictures and Skydance Productions are both tight-lipped, though Christopher McQuarrie is rumored to be considering the job. Back in December 2011, “Mission: Impossible- Ghost Protocol” hit theaters with massive numbers, eventually earning $694.7 million worldwide.
