Anna Kendrick Joins "Into the Woods"
Lining up her next project, Anna Kendrick has signed on to join the cast of “Into the Woods,” according to reports on Friday (June 21).
The film is an adaptation of the popular Broadway musical, which earned ten Tony Award nominations in 1988 and in 2002, the show won the Tony for Best Revival of a Musical.
Ms. Kendrick will reportedly play Cinderella and be joined on set by the likes of Johnny Depp, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Emily Blunt.
A fantasy musical, the motion picture, which is slated for a 2014 release, is described as follows: A witch conspires to teach important lessons to various characters of popular children's stories including Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Rapunzel.
