Erin Brockovich: Sorry About That Boating DUI!

She made a name for herself as a fierce environmental activist, and now Erin Brockovich-Ellis hopes she can repair her public image after driving her boat while intoxicated last week.
The 52-year-old lawyer issued a public apology to atone for her poor judgment on a Nevada lake this past Friday (June 7).

Brockovich-Ellis declared, "At no time was the boat away from the dock and there was no public safety risk. That being said, I take drunk driving very seriously, this was clearly a big mistake. I know better and I am very sorry."
According to a police report, Erin had double the legal blood-alcohol level when she had trouble docking her boat outside of Las Vegas on Lake Mead.
