Miss Utah Marissa Powell Flubs Answer at Miss USA Pageant
It’s always nerve-wracking to be put on the spot in front of a massive television audience, and Miss Utah Marissa Powell had a hard time coming up with her response during the Q&A portion of the Miss USA Pageant over the weekend.
The beautiful brunette tried her best to articulate her thoughts when judge NeNe Leakes posed her question, though it didn’t seem to work out in her favor.
Leakes asked, "A recent report shows that in 40 percent of
American families with children, women are the primary earners, yet they
continue to earn less than men. What does this say about society?"
Powell began, "I think we can relate this back to education and how we are continuing to try to strive to ... Figure out how to create jobs right now. That is the biggest problem. I think especially the men are seen as the leaders of this, so we need to figure out how to create education better so we can solve this problem."
