Paula Deen Loses Partnership with Wal-Mart
The bad news just keeps pouring in for Paula Deen, as it was announced on Wednesday (June 26) that Wal-Mart has now dropped the famed chef amid her "N-word" scandal.
In a statement, the retail giant, which has carried Deen brand products since 2011, said, “We are ending our relationship with Paula Deen Enterprises and we will not place new orders beyond those already committed.”
Wal-Mart's decision to halt activity with Paula comes after a
slew of other lost opportunities, including being fired by the Food
Network and being dropped by ham company Smithfield.
Although the 66-year-old foodie gave plenty of recent tearful explanations and apologies, QVC is reportedly debating on cutting ties with Deen as well.
