Khloe Kardashian Talks Pregnancy Difficulties in REDBOOK June 2013
She’s been the subject of tabloid rumors about being jealous of her pregnant sister Kim Kardashian, and now Khloe Kardashian sets the record straight in the June 2013 issue of REDBOOK magazine.
While showing off her well known curves in a gorgeous pink dress for the Matt Jones-shot front page, the E! reality starlet opened up about her struggles with fertility and how she's ready to welcome Kim's boyfriend Kanye West into the family.
On her desire to be a mom:
"I do think my difficulty getting pregnant has helped a lot of women. Do I wish people would quit asking me about it 24/7? Yes, but I don't regret it. I was 26 when that started, and I admit, I didn't know a lot about my body. It was hard for me to understand what was happening because my mom had six kids and Kourtney got pregnant quickly. People assume I'm desperate for a baby. And yes, I would love to have a baby. But I'm 28, and I've been married three and a half years. I love my life, but it doesn't feel incomplete right now."
On never resenting Kim's pregnancy:
"Please. People want to assume that I'm devastated. I couldn't be happier. I actually got mad at Kourtney, because she was afraid to tell me at first. So i get why people think I'm hurt, because my own sister thought I would be."
On her thoughts on Kanye:
"I love Kanye. We've known him since 2004. He always had a crush on Kim, but she was never into him at the time. I always told Kim they were like two peas in a pod, and she would never listen. Then one day she says, 'I think I like Kanye.' I was like, 'Since when?'"
On being diagnosed with infertility issues:
"It's more about my hormones being off. I was taking hormone shots to stabilize them, and you have to take those shots consistently and they have to be done by a doctor. You can do them yourself, but I couldn't. And then after your cycle, you have to go to the doctor for ultrasounds and more testing. And if I'm in Miami and I miss a treatment, I have to start all over again. It's a commitment and I don't mind doing it, but the timing was just off."
