Ryan Reynolds Departs from "Highlander" Remake

Though he was all set to star in a remake of “Highlander,” sources with an industry site say Ryan Reynolds has dropped out of the project.
The “Green Lantern” hunk’s exit comes months after the film’s director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo back out of the project.

Summit Entertainment still plans on moving forward with the reboot, despite the loss of its star and lack of a spearhead for the motion picture.
Meanwhile, the 36-year-old actor isn’t lacking work, as he has been busy filming “The Voices” and has two more movies in pre-production.
