Demi Lovato’s MuchMusic Awards Double-Header
It was a big evening for Demi Lovato as she took home a trophy and performed two hits at the 2013 MuchMusic Video Awards last night (June 16).
The “Skyscraper” songstress scored the honor of International Video of the Year for “Heart Attack,” and she added to the moment by singing the song live on stage.
Lovato also treated her fans to an up-close-and-personal
rendition of “Give Your Heart a Break,” and her voice was flawless as
usual.
And though she’s on top of her game, Demi previously told press that life as a celebrity hasn’t been easy- “I don’t have loads of friends. I used to, but then I realized, ‘do any of them actually care?’ Now I have people who, if I break my leg in the middle of the night, they’ll come to the hospital with me. Or they’ll answer the phone at 4am if I need them. Most of my friends are not in the industry. I don’t like that lifestyle, the paparazzi, going to Hollywood places. I stick to my neighborhood and to my closest friendships.”
