Chad Johnson Slapped with 30-Day Jail Sentence
He’s no stranger to controversy and Chad Johnson got some bad news this morning during his appearance in court.
According to a report, the former NFL star stood before Broward County Judge Kathleen McHugh as she declared that his no-prison plea had been rejected.
McHugh explained, “I don’t know that you’re taking this whole thing seriously. I just saw you slap your attorney on the backside. Is there something funny about this? The whole courtroom was laughing. I’m not going to accept these plea negotiations. This isn’t a joke.”
As a result, Johnson was given a 30-day jail sentence and a probation extension through December 2013. He’ll also serve 25 hours of community service, all in connection to his probation-violating head-butting of ex-wife Evelyn Lozada back in August 2012.
