Jennifer Lopez Scores Role in Chilean Miner Flick “The 33”
She loves to straddle the fence between music and movies, and Jennifer Lopez will once again appear on the silver screen in the forthcoming “The 33.”
Based on the true story of the 33 Chilean miners who spent 69 days trapped in a collapsed shaft, the movie will also star Antonio Banderas, Martin Sheen, and Rodrigo Santoro.
On the production end of things, Mikko Alanne and Jose Rivera
will handle the writing duties, and Patricia Riggen has signed on to
direct.
“The 33” will be the first big screen project for J. Lo since she starred alongside Jason Statham in “Parker” back in January.
