Ted Allen Announces Engagement to Barry Rice!
On the same day the Supreme Court handed down rulings concerning same-sex marriage, Ted Allen announced his engagement to Barry Rice.
Shortly after the high court struck down the Defense of Marriage Act, the “Chopped” host tweeted, “Proud to announce on this historic day that my partner of 20 years, Barry Rice, and I are engaged to be married. :).”
The news was met with well wishes and congratulations from fans
and even Mr. Allen’s fellow Food Network star Mario Batali, who
responded with "Yay!"
Ted and Barry were not alone in their celebrations over the ruling, as Melissa Etheridge revealed that she will marry her partner of three years Linda Wallem.
