Andrew Garfield to Star in Martin Scorsese's "Silence"
Nabbing a coveted role in the new Martin Scorsese flick, Andrew Garfield signed on to star in "Silence."
Based on the novel by Shusaku Endo, the story follows two 17th century Jesuit priests who face violence and persecution upon traveling to Japan to spread the gospel and find their mentor.
Though many details are still in the works, Ken Wantanabe will also star in the film, which is scheduled to begin production next summer.
In the meantime, fans will anxiously await seeing the 29-year-old actor in "The Amazing Spider-Man 2," out on May 2, 2014.
